After living the month-end grind, we learned something simple but brutal:

2000 — AlternaDev is born
A small team with a big idea: move sales tax compliance to the web before the web was ready.

2001 — First web-based sales tax compliance system launches
One of the earliest SaaS products in the category — giving tax teams their first path out of spreadsheets.

2007 — Acquired by KPMG
The technology and vision were absorbed into KPMG’s systems.
AlternaDev went quiet — but the thinking didn’t stop.

2025 — Reborn as ADev
Same founder.
Same obsession with solving the real problems Finance and Tax battle every month.
Rebuilt with modern tools, modern data workflows, and two decades of close-cycle scars.

ADev isn’t a version 1.
It’s a return.
