Illinois mandates, beginning January 1, 2003, a taxpayer that has an average monthly liability that is over $1,000 must file all returns and schedules electronically. 35 ILCS 630/1 to 630/21 To assist taxpayers in meeting this requirement, AlternaDev
has created a special version of our web-based compliance software AlternaTax, called IL-RT 2.
Like the standard version of AlternaTax, the IL-RT 2 version
is simple to use. Data can be entered manually or a data feed can be accepted.
After the data is entered, the software will generate the EDI file. The file
can be downloaded to your computer for transmitting to the state or, as an
approved transmitter, AlternaDev can transmit the file on your behalf. For
you files, a paper copy of the IL-RT 2 is available.
The IL-RT 2 version of AlternaTax sits on our secure server
and is available 24 hours a day. Because the software is housed on our secure
server no IT investment from your company is required. In AlternaDev's continued
efforts to protect our client's data, each company will have a unique version
of AlternaTax IL-RT2. Each version is given a unique location on our server
and is double-password protected.
